Here at the Women’s Coalition of St. Croix (WCSC), we continue to examine what we do and make adjustments to meet your changing needs. Our work with you to offer assistance to victims and survivors of crime, and to bring peace and healing to our community is the result of maintaining these intentions, as we shape the present and future of WCSC.
After much consideration and discussion, the decision was made to streamline our mission statement, so that it reflects–more accurately and concisely–the reason we exist and the direction we are staying in with you, to fulfill our mission.
On April 5th, our board of directors and staff voted in a new mission statement. Here it is:
“To Support and Empower People Impacted by Violence”
Simple and to-the-point, right? It’s what we do, with you, to bring about a better St. Croix, for all of us. We’ll be rolling out a few more changes in the coming months; we’ll keep you posted on them as they develop. Please visit our website or call our main office/crisis center for more information or with any questions.
Thank you for continuing to partner with us for Peace, Justice and Healing for our people and our islands.
