The Alice S. Pfaelzer Children’s Center is home to the Women’s Coalition of St. Croix’s (WCSC) education programs.
We provide a safe learning environment for children, youth and adults with activities that foster nonviolence, self-esteem and responsible community involvement. Our center offers students aged four to sixty a variety of activities and the services of volunteers for tutoring and mentoring. Contact Dr. Sue Diverio, Children Center Director, at (340)773-9222 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, for information on hours of operation and admission to our education programs.
Education and recreational programs for students include:
- After school program for children in grades four through eight
- Summer camp for children aged four to fourteen
- Junior Angels, a volunteer program for high school students
- Project Link, an alternative high school program for adults
Students are given individualized attention for homework assistance, art classes and other activities for academic and character development in our after school program.
Children in our six-week summer camp are encouraged to develop academic and social skills, and community responsibility through fun, learning activities.
The Alice S. Pfaelzer Children’s Center also offers students a number of dedicated study areas, a computer room with individual workstations and Internet access and a lending library with over 1500 catalogued books.
