Support & Counseling
A Volunteer Victim Advocate or Crisis Counselor can provide information and offer support to victims and survivors in crisis. She can help with information for police or medical follow-up, assailant identification, to accompany a survivor to the emergency room, police station or courtroom for legal proceedings, and well as assist victims with getting help for other needs, like emergency shelter, financial assistance, medical care and clothing. Call WCSC at 340.773.9272 for more information.
The assault and what happens afterward can affect a victim’s lifestyle in many ways. A crisis period may extend for several months or may recur years later. Sexual assault victims often find it helpful to talk over their concerns with a counselor during these times. Counseling is available at WCSC’s main office/crisis center – 45 Fisher St., Christiansted. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please walk in or call us at 340.773.9272, to make an appointment. You are not alone!
