Join us in celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the global celebration of Earth Day, the annual celebration of the environmental movement. In 1970, according to EarthDay.org, about 20 million people in the U.S gathered together to demand action for the protection of the planet. Since then, activists around the world have gathered each year to mark the day. Unfortunately, this year’s Earth Day is taking place during the COVID-19 global health challenges, so gatherings or other in-person events had to be canceled. But we can celebrate the occasion while sheltering in place. Visit earthday.org for a complete listing of events happening all over the world in recognition of this day and the notable anniversary.
