“Take Back the Night” Silent March
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). We will continue the tradition of our “Take Back the Night” Silent March, and maintain the government’s physical distancing health and safety guidelines for COVID-19. Remember to wear purple. Bring a friend (or five!) and a candle. The rally will not be held this year.
Please join us in Frederiksted at 5:45 p.m. Please bring a candle or battery-operated votive light, as we will not provide lights this year. We will practice physical distancing, as we march down Strand Street to Buddhoe Park.
If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse or violence in a family or intimate relationship, we are here to help. Please call our main office/crisis center at 340.773.9272, for information on free and confidential services. You are not alone. We believe you. We are here for you.
