“Take Back the Night” Silent March & Rally
It is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) and for 41 years, the silent march and rally has been one of the community’s honored traditions during October. This will be our first in-person DVAM event since 2019. Join us in Frederiksted this year as we walk from the Fish Market along Strand Street, to the Eliza McBean Clock Tower in silence. Our rally will feature strong voices, to honor the strength of survivors and the memories of those whose lives have been taken through domestic violence.
Mask wearing and physical distancing is required, as we continue to follow health and safety guidelines against the spread of COVID-19.
Please join us and tell all of your friends and family to come with you. Remember to wear purple in support of victims/survivors or domestic violence. Let’s TAKE BACK THE NIGHT!If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse or violence in a family or intimate relationship, we are here to help. Please call our main office/crisis center at 340.773.9272, for information on free and confidential services. You are not alone. We believe you. We are here for you.
