“Words Have Power” IG Live Poetry Reading
Words can evoke a particular feeling when read or said. This April, for Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month, we invite you to join us on Denim Day – Wednesday, April 27, to speak life into words that express power!
Our very first Instagram Live event will be a poetry reading of favorite pieces from gifted writers, professional and not. Join us to hear poems by Alice Walker, Audre Lorde – one of the founding mothers of WCSC, David Whyte and orginal works by our staff and supporters. Our Instagram handle: @wcstxvi. We’ll be feeding the inspiration with Words Have Power, at 2:00 p.m., AST. What are your power words?
