The Women’s Coalition of St. Croix (WCSC) places a high priority on protecting your privacy. This privacy policy was created to show WCSC’s firm commitment to the privacy of our members and website users. This policy explains what types of information is collected by WCSC’s website, wcstx.org, and how this information is used.

What Personally Identifiable Information Is Collected and How It Is Used

Users of WCSC’s website who sign up to receive our newsletter or use our contact form provide us with information (such as name and e-mail address) voluntarily. We may use this information for limited, specific purposes, such as responding to your questions or contacting you with sponsorship opportunities or event information. We will not sell or share your personal information. WCSC is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you provide voluntarily.

IP Addresses

WCSC uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer wcstx.org, and for statistical metrics used to track website visitor traffic.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. We will store your information securely.

Our website is equipped with an additional layer of security, an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate. Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon () in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page (for example, https://wcstx.org).

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific task (for example, customer service or thanking donors) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers that we use for storing personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Donations

We have partnered with Network For Good, a nonprofit-owned company that provides software to securely and efficiently manage our  online donation transactions through a link on our website, or directly via the URL, https://wcstx.networkforgood.com.
